What is making more teenage men becoming homosexual?

I was walking along and saw two boys younger than 17 kissing and holding hands. I don't live in San Francisco and I am not homophobic but notice there are a lot of teens especially men that are mess with other guys. What is making more teenage men becoming homosexual?
It makes them feel independent/different. Teenage girls go through a lesbian phase here (roughly 50% of the girls I went to high school with hooked up with another girl at least once that I know of). It's especially bad when they get to college. I know so many guys who hooked up with a guy their first semester of college, only to find out they actually aren't gay.





Also...ignore some of the other posters. The ';10% of the population is gay thing'; has no basis in fact. In actuality, about 2% of the population is gay, with maybe another 2% bi.

The actually percentage of homosexuals has been the same all along.


The difference is that society is more accepting than it was years ago, so young people come out earlier and are more open about it in public.


This is a good thing- people shouldn't be forced to live a lie.


In the supposed 'good old days' many teen males commited suicide rather than admit to anyone that they were gay.
There aren't more becoming. There are more feeling like they can come out, and show how they feel. The truth of the matter is that at least 10% of the population is gay, and it's very likely that another 5-10% are bisexual. In addition, it's not at all uncommon for teens to experiment with sexuality.
