What are some books for teenage girls that have kids with wings in them?

I am an absolutely huge fan of James Patterson's Maximum Ride series. I really want to read more about it, but i don't know how to find any. Actually, any recomendations about kids with .... unusual abilities would be much appreciated. I also love the mergers but i can't find who its by, or the twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. What are some books for teenage girls that have kids with wings in them?
The series 'Maximum Overdrive' hailed from James Patterson's adult novel 'When the Wind Blows' and its sequel 'The Lake House'. In those books, Max and her 'siblings' are this way because they are the product of genetic engineering involving scientists creating human/animal hybrids.

Those two novels are probably a good starting point for more info. They aren't directly linked to the 'Maximum Overdrive' series but instead involve the same characters under different circumstances (in the adult books, Max and co are helped by an FBI agent and a vet)

Novels involving kids with unusual abilities (aside from the usual Harry Potter) include:

- 'The Power of Five' series by Anthony Horowitz (over the course of five books, we meet five children who each have different powers to help them stop a great evil conquering the world)

- 'Seventh Son' by Orson Scott Card (about the seventh son of a seventh son who has special abilities)

- 'Shade's Children' by Garth Nix (about children with paranormal abilities is a world where no-one lives past fourteen)

- 'Darwin's Children' by Greg Bear (children who are genetically engineered are imprisoned and treated with suspicion. This might be a bit difficult for you as it's more adult orientated)

- the Jedi Apprentice series by Jude Watson (about young Obi-Wan over the course of his training)What are some books for teenage girls that have kids with wings in them?
Wow ... anything with wings? Okay ... that's an unusual request. Well, I don't know of any books about kids with wings, but ';kids with special abilities'; definitely fits the Harry Potter series, which is written by JK Rowling.
The Curious Incident of a dog in the night time, amazing book.

Not exactly special power but freakin awesome.
