Would it be easier for her to try to learn on a right handed guitar? What is the best size acoustic guitar for a left handed teenage girl who is very petite?
I honestly don't know much about guitar sizes, since I am just starting to learn to play (on a cheap electric), but I know that parlor guitars are the smallest, which is what you should be looking for. I don't know what your budget is, but here is an example of that type of guitar: http://www.mguitar.com/guitars/choosing/鈥?/a>
The best way to find a guitar that is of good size and comfort is to go to guitar center or somewhere similar and try out the different models. It's the only way to know for certain if you'll like what you are getting. Ask someone who works there about parlor guitars, or guitars for small bodies, if you need to.
A lot of guitars are available in left-handed models with for no additional charge, but you might want to try to learn to play right-handed, because it will definitely benefit you in the end. You might get used to it. Also, some people, like me, write with their left hands, but are naturally comfortable playing right-handed. Figure out what will work for you. Good luck!

They have small body acoustics that sound just fine. Look at the Cort brand.
If she is left handed do not buy a right handed guitar and string it upside down, their are things on a guitar that make this unadvisable, Nor shoud you make her learn right handed.
Learning guitar is difficult enough without being uncomfortable.
There are plenty of left handed models to chose from
since your petite you should buy a 34'; or 36'; inch guitar that is like for little kids but its decent for small people make sure you don't buy a full size because then it will look like the guitar is eating you. (sorry for the joke)
