How to handle my teenage son who is furious his hairdresser cut his hair shorter than how he wanted?

He is locked in his room, does not want to see anybody and said he will not get out till his hair grows. He is obsessed about his shoulder lenght hair and plays in a school band. Even mentioned not going to school monday.

How do I deal with this? How to handle my teenage son who is furious his hairdresser cut his hair shorter than how he wanted?
There is 2 weeks between a bad haircut and a good one. it's only hair and it will grow back. He'll get used to it.

Maybe you get one of his friends to come over and tell him it looks good. Maybe a female friend to boost his ego.

or post funny notes under his door.

OMG! he will get over it! he must feel his hair as who he is, (his hair defines who he is) without it he is lost.the best thing you can do, (and don't baby him!) is tell him one, it will grow back but two, he is still the same person inside, and that wont change , unless HE lets it! and it still looks good! then grab your camera a take pictures one after the other, try to make him laugh! he will be ok!
Alright, I'm fourteen myself and get really pissed when my hair gets screwed up.

You want him to go to school? Go in his room and tell him you'll take away all his electronics (tv, cell phone, iPod, cd player, computer, whatever, everything) if he skips school. Just let him sulk. He'll get over it. He won't like the threat, though.
Do nothing. Your son is a teenager, he thinks his hair define him as a person,is mad that the hairdresser screwed them up and most probably wants to be left alone... Most teenagers do
he'll get over it. I'm like him too, get really mad when my hair gets messed up. I get over it though after i fall asleep ussually.
Tell him he's acting really gay.
It sounds like your son is holding back on his homosexuality.

Take the boy to the nearest army registration office, and make that boy a man.

F'ing hippie, long hair is for women, not men!
