How can I enjoy being a teenage girl?

I am 19 years old and I don't seem to enjoy being a teenage girl

Do you have some tips and advice please? How can I enjoy being a teenage girl?
Take some time off. Reflection is the best thing. i know it sounds really cheesy but looking to your inner self and finding out what the problem is deep down. Before you go to university or your job maybe take a gap year, and travel the world or stay with relatives family and friends.

Time to relax is the best way to enjoy yourself, play your favorite music and watch your favorite program. Take up a high energy sport like aerobics where you can meet people and use up energy. Pamper yourself, paint your nails and get our hair done then go out with all your friends and just let yourself go.

Do silly little things like go to the park and slide down the slide backwards and sing at the top of your voice with all the air in your lungs! (obviously not on your own, people may think your mad)

Take part in something really exciting like a competition, a race, raise money for charity. Wear crazy clothes and try something new every day.

Do something totally rebellious and heart poundingly naughty, (but not dangerous or illegal lol)

just be yourself, listen to your heart and do what your body tells you to do.How can I enjoy being a teenage girl?
It sounds like your just not happy with who you are. Maybe you feel bored or a bit upset. Try doing things you enjoy. It's really not enjoying being a teenage girl but just enjoying life and living it to the fullest. Go out and do something crazy. Go clubbing with your best friends, eat chocolate, play games, do something spontaneous. If I could sum up what it's like being a girl I would say every moment is you taking a risk and doing what you love to do, maybe that's all you really need to try.
i think u should enjoy being a teenage girl because u only have 1 more year. u should go out with ur friends, flirt with a couple of boys and just have fun and enjoy ur life.
Enjoy Life! Do something crazy! But not to crazy. Don't kill yourself crazy you know. Go do what you like doing!
Only one more year
get stoned, high, away with the fairies. its ******* amazing!!
u better get crackin...only a year left

just be spontaneous %26amp; see where that leads you :)

  • How to lose weight as a teenage boy?

Im 15 and my BMI is normal, but I have a bunch of belly fat and I wanna get rid of it within 4-5 weeks. I swim 4 times a week but I think my metabolism is slow. Im thinking of not eating breakfast and/or cutting down dinner. Thanks in advance. How to lose weight as a teenage boy?
Do sit-ups or crunches or some other ab muscle exercise. You yourself said that your BMI is normal, so you do NOT need to lose weight. You can make your stomach look better by exercising your abdominal muscles.

Lucky for you, getting your abs to look better is much easier than losing weight. Don't worry about your weight in general, just do sit-ups until you have nice abs.

I did 50 sit-ups every day for a while, and my stomach went from bulging to quite good looking in about a month. It was ridiculously effective and easy. 4 minutes a day for 4 weeks -%26gt; nice abs. How do you lose weight? 24 hours a day of self-restraint for ever -%26gt; maybe you lose weight, if you're lucky. How to lose weight as a teenage boy?
well losing weight takes a long time. losing lots of weight in a short period of time isn't a good thing cos the when u are of the diet of exercise program, you will put it back on again. well if you really want to lose weight fast, i recommend the atkins diet. i did it when i was in secondary sch just to avoid a trim and fit camp and it actually worked, besides the diet, exercise a little as well.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atkins_diet鈥?/a>
If you want to cut eating a meal.... Cut down eating dinner.... Always eat breakfast since its the most important meal of the day.... You have to exercise everyday... Try jogging in the morning.... Do stuff that makes you sweat.... Like doing chores... I know its kinda boring but when you do chores you have 2 benefits... Your room is clean and you got good exercise....
im 15 to and i eat alot but never gain weight. i have a fast metabolism cause i play soccer. you should run, do sit ups, push ups, and weight lifting activities. not eating will not help, in fact your weight may get worse. just do something that will get your heart beating!
WANNA reduce your weight is 4-5 weeks here is the best way by this you can loose 10kgs in4-5 weeks 1st thing every morning you need to eat ONLY sprouts then evening light lunch with no added salt and dinner before sunset and that too only 2-3 chapattis with no salt curry
Well.. stick to your swimming and after your swimming do some setups and pushups like 10-20 after each swimming session, and eat a big-ish breakfast eggs!, eat lunch, and eat dinner (not too big).. but after dinner do some situps 10-20

    and drink water!!
you cannot cut meals out, this just slows down your metabolism, maybe try to cut snacks out instead.

You could try doing stomach-related exercises to turn the fat into muscle
No! you must take breakfast or else you will starve and crave more later...

But you can just eat fruits for dinner..so your metabolism will be faster..and don't forget to drink lots of water..

    =)
weight is good, men shouldn't really care about weight unless you are completely obese. join the football team and become a tank is my real suggestion there u will lose fat and gain muscles
drink water only, end of story.
jog daily, more water in your diet.
your young..dont stress im sure you are just fine... you have many years ahead of you to grow into your body...

What makes a good mother to teenage daughters ?

How do you get close to them, when they really dislike being around you ?What makes a good mother to teenage daughters ?
Sometimes you can not be their friend. They probably will not like you many times, if you are being a parent. They will thank you later, though. Kids need structure. Kids can make friends. They need parents. What makes a good mother to teenage daughters ?
Try to become her friend more than her mother, you're half way there when you achieve that.
Well, It really depends on why she doesn't like you to begin with. She may just feel hurt or misunderstood by you. Try to see things from her point of view. When you talk to her, try your hardest to be positive no matter what you're talking about. You should really post more details...Why exactly does she have a problem with you?
Don't boss them around too much. Put some trust in them and they will do the same. Be their friend and be respectful and even encouraging of their interests.
let them know that you are always there for them. even if you kids don't like you, they'll know that you care.

always tell them how much you love them, and are proud of them.

point them in the right direction.

    to get close to them:

find out things that they are intersted in, and do it with them. ie, shopping, video games, going to the movies, reading, etc.

a good mother to teenage daughters is:

    someone to look up to

someone to talk to and confide in

    someone to trust

someone who love them just the way they are

What clothing store can I go to to find cute, stylish clothes for teenage girls?

I live in Canada and we don't have a JCPenney or Macy's. I love their style and I've tried Stitches and Garage. I'm really into styles that are colourful and fun, but not too girly. Teenage and young adult New Yorkers I have an important question for you?

For those of you who live in your own apartment or house, HOW CAN YOU AFFORD IT?! Im not a New Yorker but ive thought of living there on many occasions, and ive seen the outrageous cost of living you guys have. And I know some young people have their own place. So how do you afford it? Do you work two or maybe three jobs? Or do you have roommates? Or maybe your parents lend a helping hand? I just dont know how ya do it.Teenage and young adult New Yorkers I have an important question for you?
I recently graduated college and started a full time job in NYC... rent isnt as high as most would think, unless you compare it to nowwhere town, usa.

Salares are also much higher in NYC. I know college friends who stared in the same company as me who are making alot less because of the location (i know there are other factors, but location does play a large role in salary).

And while yes the cost of living is expensive - so is the opportunities.Teenage and young adult New Yorkers I have an important question for you?
Most people do this through a combination of rich parents (even if they aren't helping with month to month expenses, they funded college so that student loan debt is not a major issue), professional jobs with relatively high entry-level salaries, and roommates (many single new yorkers live with roommates well into their 30's). Also, while the cost of living is high throughout NY, rent in Brooklyn, Queens, or the Bronx is less than half what you may have seen or heard about in parts of Manhattan.
well i don't live in new york, i moved away from nyc when i was 18, i'm 21 so i'm not that OLD... but i used to have 1 other room mate, and my parents sent me 200 bucks a month to help out a bit... so really the cost for us wasn't that much only like 400 for each of us... the place cost 1,000 a month, but it was really big...
good job like a physician or rich parents.
I am 25 and single. I work one full-time job 10 months out of the year and have my own one bedroom apartment in the Bronx. I would never be able to live in my own spacious, beautiful 1 bedroom in Manhattan.
you live in queens cause it cheapest.
rich parents.... also rich kids graduate from good schools so they have good jobs.. but it starts generally with rich parents

What would you do if your teenage child were to join a fight club?

In Collierville, TN, they discovered an ';underground'; out in the open fight club being run by the local high school kids.

What would you do if you discovered your child was party to this activity? What would you do if your teenage child were to join a fight club?
First I'd applaud him for having steel nuts and a willingness to better himself. Then, I'd challenge him to a fight on these terms: If he won, I'd teach him how to fight more effectively and personally find another fight club for him to join; if he lost, he'd still have my respect, but I wouldn't help him much unless he requested it.What would you do if your teenage child were to join a fight club?
hah very nice response gonna post this on failblog if i can

The first rule of the fight club is you don't talk about the fight club.

Hah, sorry I couldn't resist. How could parents not notice the bruises and whatnot that comes from being in a fight club? Anyway, if my kid was in one I would ask why he felt compelled to join - to have sense of belonging, to release pent up aggression? - and find alternative ways for him to constructively fill those needs. And I'd ground him and make him read the book ';Fight Club.'; I'm really serious that it will change your mind about life and the mentality behind such clubs. It's an excellent book.
he wouldnt leave the house. i'd tell him i'd punch him in the face a few times if that was what he was looking for, and he wouldnt leave the house except for school and maybe a part time job until i felt he could be appropriate in his choice of friends, clubs and groups to belong in.
I would wonder WHERE I had failed him as his parent and takes steps to correct it.
id be pissed at myself that i hadnt taught my kid well enough not to do whats in movies

    and kick theyre ***

    jk

id call him/her a dumbass and forbid it
have a calm disscusoion with him about why he wont do it againa nd what youll do to him if you find out hes did it again and say it in the calmest most relaxed voice

What is the percent that a teenage couple will stay together get married?

For some reason, I can't find the answer anywhere.

It's not that I'm in a relationship myself, it's just something I thought about. What is the percent that a teenage couple will stay together get married?
i don't know the percentage rate, but i do know from being a young teenage wife and mom once that it doesn't work. for one thing when u marry young u don't get to do the normal things that other teens are doing like dating, going to college, and when u marry too young when your realities don't meet your expectations it causes u to rethink your marriage, plus jobs for the young aren't that great and when there isn't money for even the bare necessities it takes a toll on the marriage. also the level of maturity isn't usually there yet, and most young people shouldn't be tied down so young. What is the percent that a teenage couple will stay together get married?
    Very very low.

My story worked out well and it's still happy (I won't say happily ever after because I consider the story still being told, but whatever). Ours is a rare case though. Of all the people we know who are older and a few years younger (even those with teenage pregnancies) I can count on one hand how many are still together.
    Very Low Success rate!

dated at 16, had child, married, had 2 more children, divorced after 16 years. Except for my children that was the worst roller coaster ride of my life.

Remarried for 15 years to a wonderful man.
well i've been with my bf for 2 years havent broke up once and im 16 about to be 17 and were prob. going to get married a 20 im pretty sure it's going to last.
1.1% will tough it out and get married. Then become a part of the 90% teen divorce rate.
We were talking about this in class one day and my french teacher said the divorce rate for teenager is 90%
Very slim. Probably between 90 to 95 % will get divorced.
if you get married, the doviroce rate should be at around 100 percent
There is no fact answer, it's all based on opinion. I would say that it's very low though, I'd say about 10%.

  • What sort of clothes do normal teenage guys wear?

I live in the country and there isn't even another house for miles so this will be my first time really getting to know people my age. What sort of clothes do ';cool'; guys typically wear? I am 17.What sort of clothes do normal teenage guys wear?
Dress like you normally dress. That's the best way to impress people. Besides, as long as you don't normally wear something crazy then whatever you normally wear is fine. Be confident! That' the best way to impress people. But...if you really want me to answer your question, try wearing dark wash jeans, classy button downs with a tee underneath and any type of tennis shoes.

    Helpful hint: Don't wear this...

Girls love polos or at least I do. Go for a good assortment of polos but not too many because then theyll get a different opinion of you that you want to convey. On the bottoms wear faded jeans- try Pacsun... but deffinatly not extreme skinny. Wear sneakers but not the typical New balence or Nike ones. Try the Nike high tops or vans. Something layed back. A lot of guys dress in brighter colors now too. Neon yellow, green, blue , and even pink and purple. Hope I helped(:
Wear pants, sneakers and a shirt.

    And DONT be flashy.

    That's it.

    they are perverts.

Honestly I feel sick, im 20 but I look much younger and whever I am at the supermarket or anything I always get guys giving me looks old guys at that. I hate being treated like a piece of meat.

and no I dont look at men who are attractive in this way.

and no I do am not and nor is the person asking this question..';wanting more attention';What is it about guys and teenage girls?
They figure they can conquer anything younger or small than themselves.. It's a male macho crap situation, and then if they can't get their ';way';, out comes the foul language and the rumors start about the girl (s) in question.

It shows a completer lack of respect, and they feel that they were put on earth for only one reason, and one reason alone..

T'is for the above reason that I, as a long time married transvestite / crossdresser with a very supportive, understanding, knowledgeable, and helpful who has taught me all the traits of emulating women to the nines, from presentation, walking, sitting, standing, mannerisms. make up, hair, nails, etc have ';thrown'; aside my male ';birth'; and have adopted the feminine lifestyle instead.

I think you know the answer and so now you are gonna come across as just wanting more of that attention.
    they're pervy and immature.

    it wasn't labor pains.

go to www.imdb.com (internet movie database) and look up pregnancy and teen or something like that. you can search for movies by their ';keywords';What is the movie where the teenage girl fakes her pregnancy?
I don't know if it's the one your thinking but that happened in New Waterford Girl. She lived in a small crappy town and wanted to get out and go to some fancy art school (in NY I think) So she starts fooling around with all these boys and gets a reputation as a ho (but never actually sleeps with any of them). Then she pretends to be pregnant so her dad will send her away and then she figures she'll be easily able to go to NY instead. It's funny becasue at one point she's chased by this group of guys whom have been talking to try and figure out who the father is (in the beginning they're more than happy to brag about 'bagging' her) when they realize none of them have actually slept with her.
    very interesting

How much should I pay a teenage babysitter?

17-year-old will be keeping my 8-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy in my home this summer. She transports my son (2 week) from a 1/2 day camp, 1 week will only have my son, 1 week will only have my daughter. She will cook their lunch using my food, some laundry, minor housecleaning, and have kids complete their chores. I live in northern Mississippi (not a big city) and she is a cousin.

Thank you!How much should I pay a teenage babysitter?
At least $10 per hour...She can't be paid less than min wage by law, but you should pay extra for each extra kid and the chores. Even if the kids are older than babies...They can still be a handful, and if you want her to not quit on you, you should make sure she is compensated appropriately...Most people pay an average of $10 per hour up to $15 per hour depending on how much she has to do. She is not just babysitting, but also doing chores and anything less than that isn't worth it. If I was that age and offered less than that, I would rather go and hang out with my friends, or find another summer job thats less work and more pay. So pay her a decent wage since she will be doing a lot for you.How much should I pay a teenage babysitter?
    $10 an hour
    minimum USD 5/hour
It ALL depends on where you live. I live in Seattle and if anyone handed me less than $8-10/hour (keep in mind, im 15 and cant even drive yet) I would laugh and tell them to come back with more. The professionals in my area get $12-15. But hey, $3/hour might be normal where you live. I can't imagine anywhere where that would be acceptable but what do I know?
    10 bucks an hour
You'll have to ask someone from your area. I live in the Bay Area and pay a 17-yr old $7/hr to take care of my 1-yr old. While 1-yr olds are more demanding, there's only 1 child and she doesn't have to do drop off/pick up. I also use a sitter who charges $12/hr for 1 child or $16/hr for two children. But my sister is a ';nanny'; in a more remote part of michigan and she gets $14/hr for THREE kids that are 6 yr old twins and a 3 yr old.
    are u people serious.

I would say with the extra things like transporting the kids, and laundry I would give her 10-12 dollars.

She is 17 and could find a job else where, but at that age for babysitting weither she is family or not I would say NO LESS than $10.

I have been babysitting for a long while and that is what I get cause Im older and can drive.

Its all about respect, and I would feel cheated out if I got any less.

Plus think about how much a profeesional/babysitting company would charge 15-25 dollars an hour.

One thing you dont need to do that I often feel weird about is when the parents gets tons of soda/snacks/treats for me as a thank you, but really I think they get their fast food/unhealthy fix all the time at home and while out and about...especially over the summer. If any thing, get healthy snacks so the kids can share and wont get all crazy.
At LEAST minimum wage - she is doing a lot more than babysitting for you !
I would say about $60-75 a week. Even the weeks she is only keeping 1 kid. Will she be using her car to transport the kids to their camp? If she is keeping the kids and doing housework I think the above mentioned would be fair.

PS. I am from a small town in South MS and this is what I was paid 10+ years ago when I babysat. Good luck
if shes fam. about 3 an hour. if shes not family...5 an hour, cuz she is having to use her gas to transport the kids.
no more than $5 an hour. Thats how much I got paid as a teenager babysitting 3 kids at one time
I would say $7 an hour. I know how much work it can be, and the money will make her feel really good about doing the job well. She should be paid something since she could just go out and get a job on her own. It is still a lot less than a nanny.
i get paied $5.00 but being shes a cousin she should do it out of the goodness of her heart
I would definately pay her above minimum wage as you are trusting her with transporting your children. I would offer her some money for gas as well. It doesn't matter if she is a family member...treat her like a professional as that is how you expect her to act.

Have you asked her what she expects?
well i babysit and I charge $3 a kid per hour. I think it's a decent price to charge =]
How many hours each day?....If your paying her hourly $5.00 an hour is good. If it's per week which will probably be cheaper, about $150.00. You have to keep in mind that she's doing more then just caring for the kids.
Because all of this work is required and she is 17 (she could be getting a real job and be pulling in at least 7 bucks an hour), I'd say 10 dollars an hour. Warn her ahead of time that if there are days you come home and the house is a mess, etc., then her pay will be docked for that day. And if you think she's done a good job, you can tip her periodically.
Well, she's doing a lot of stuff for you! She's driving, cleaning, making lunch, plus making sure they're safe. I'd say about 50 or 60 dollars a week...that sounds like a lot, but that's only about 8 dollars a week. I'd say more, but that would really get to be a lot of money! Good Luck!
    $5.00 an hour..THAT IS GREATT!
dang she aint just a baby sitter she is a house keeper....doing laudry???? lol but like at least 35 dollars an hour it maybe depends on how many hours she work
    minimum wage.
    $5.oo an hour?
$10 per hour. It all depends on how well she interacts with your kids and if she does her work thoroughly.
    atleast 8-10 dollars an hour
    7.50 an hr
pay her good; thats alot of work for a 17yr old when she/he could be out partying
atleast minimum wage plus gas...you get what you pay for... family or not
I get 7-10 an hour. Depends on how annoying your children are.
    About 6-8 dollars/hour seems reasonable.
    about 30 bucks a day....
at the most 10 an hour....but she is taking care of 2 kids AND doing house work.....and driving....maye 12 an hour...

What is a good movie for teenage mostly boy party?

One girl, kinda doesnt count. Everyone has seen the dark knight at least twice, so no point there. (Well, is still good.)

Looking for action or comedy, but not a mix of them both. What is a good movie for teenage mostly boy party?
Well it depends what you like..

The Departed with Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon is really good.

Violence, a lot of swearing, some drugs, a couple good fighting parts and a sex scene.

    The Italian Job is amazing.

    Shooter also amazing.

What to do if your a teenage girl visiting British Columbia?

This summer i am going to BC, Victoria with my fam but i have so siblings so that makes it even more boring. I am a 13 year old girl looking for things to do while im there. Also where are the good malls? What to do if your a teenage girl visiting British Columbia?
The good malls are Hillside, The Bay Centre, and Mayfair. Just never, ever, go when the Fifa world cup is on. The random bursts of cheering are very unnerving...

    - Go to the wax museum

    - Go to Under Sea Gardens

    - Check and see whats happening at Bastien Square

    - Check out the shopping

    - See whats happening at the Save On Foods Memorial Arena

    - Go to the IMAX

    - Go to Butterfly Gardens

    - Walk around the inner harbor, and look at all the stalls and performers (it really is cool)

    - Go to Butchart Gardens

    - Go to Willows beach

    - Visit the Center of the Universe

    - Definitely visit the Empress

    - Ride the double Decker bus!

    - See the bunnies at UVIC. Bring carrots for them, and they all come running. Its even funnier when you throw them, and all the bunnies go running across the track

    - Remember that no matter which way you go, you will always end up at a beach. Or you will just fall off a cliff into the water.

-Go to Clover point and go down the breakwater

    - Go to Beacon Hill Park and taunt - I mean, ';pet'; the goats, unless they shut it down, as they where considering to last year

Theres way more then I mentioned, and I can guarantee you will NEVER be bored, with the endless things (and shopping) to do!What to do if your a teenage girl visiting British Columbia?
There is a mall in douglas or pandora I don't remember, well the main street, it has three floors and they sell good clothes, the usual canadian clothes stores, it is good !

You can also go walk along the ocean !

In Victoria for your age, you may go shopping there, or you may go visit the park and the parlament, to be honest I found Victoria boring there is not much stuff to do, but then again you can go to the royal bc museum, or probably take a boat ride
well, there's a lot of things for a tourist to do in victoria(even a teen tourist)...

u HAVE to visit the wax museum, it's right on the harbour downtown.

to be honest with u, i found the Royal BC Museum really, really boring!(don't go there, waste of money)

the castle isn't really a castle, its more like a dusty old mansion...

the Buchart Gardens are actually pretty cool, visit on saturdays for their awesome fireworks.

well, the malls here in victoria kinda suck...i mean if u want to go shopping go to vancouver... its's not really the city's fault, it's just that victoria is a smallish city and any really big mall would go out of business here...

BUT, there are still a few good malls, visit the Bay Centre in down town has like five floors...

Mayfair mall is pretty cool too, it has a ben and jerry's ice cream shop in it(mmm)...

What are good styles of dresses that work well with very flat chested teenage girls?

This particular girl is 17 and has been a dancer for most of her life, so she's developed quite slowly. What are good styles of dresses that work well with very flat chested teenage girls?
Sweetheart necklines are very flattering for small breasts. As are very wide v necks and thin straps. What are good styles of dresses that work well with very flat chested teenage girls?
My wife generally wore a little ';loose'; clothing as a teen. No ';padding'; fortunately - because I initially noticed her because of her very small breasts. And I thought; ';Wow, she is really special...'; - and she was ;o)
umm my friend is very flat chested as well and she tried on a tight boobtube and it looked beautiful.

What is a popular perfume for teenage girls?

I was going to buy my niece that for her 15th birthday, but I didn't know which one to get her. I know for sure though that she doesn't like the ones from Hollister. Someone please help me.What is a popular perfume for teenage girls?
britney spears fantasy;)What is a popular perfume for teenage girls?
Vera Wang Princess is very feminine and teen-appropriate. It comes in a heart-shaped bottle with a crown on the top, and the perfume itself is a pretty shade of purple. It smells sweet, like vanilla-- not anything like the Hollister scents.
give her a gift card to bath and body works.

that way she can pick out her own sprays, lotions, and perfumes to her liking =]
Britney Spears Curious, Fantasy and Believe have lovely smells and I recommend

  • Is calling the cops on your teenage kids a good way to address their drug use?

I overheard one of my classmates saying that his parents called the cops on him when they found drugs in his room.

Is this the best way to deal with this problem? What about underaged drinking? What bad things can come from this?Is calling the cops on your teenage kids a good way to address their drug use?
Call a psychiatrist, not necessarily the police. They aren't interested in reforming him, just slapping his parents with a fine and giving him a possibly permanent blemish on his record. Is calling the cops on your teenage kids a good way to address their drug use?
No, the state should not have any business telling people what to put into their own bodies! If the parents have a problem with it, then THEY need to fix it, not the damn state.

As for underage drinking, pretty much everyone does that. No one waits until 21 to have alcohol since that law is ridiculous in the first place. Hell, a 19 year-old got elected mayor in a city in my state. He can lead a city, but he can't go into a bar? STUPID!!
i would like to commend the parents that called the police on their child, for finding drugs in his room.and hell yes,it is the best way for a parent to deal with this issue.that is only the first step, for us parent.parents can't beat kids these days.the kids will call CPS.thats why more than half you all teenager are so out of control.

the aftermat of underage drinking:drunk driving,raped,kill,dead....need i say more.....
I don't think it would help. If they just quietly took him to counseling and rehab he would have probably reacted better and have better results. Now that the police are involved he probably thinks that he can't ever trust his parents. It would go on his record and if he does it again he gets sent to juvie.
not only would I call the cops on them, I would very likely beat them first and force them to tell the cops where they're getting the drugs from and who introduced them to the drugs.

when they stood before the judge, I'd work with the DA to ensure harsh punishment.
You're darn right if I find drugs in my home I'm gonna call the cops whether it's my kid or not. Likely, the cops won't charge the the kid to the full extent they could, but at least it would teach them a lesson.
i think the parents should talk to their kids instead of having the police ';scare'; them.

the kid will have a criminal record. whenever there is something on their record it will affect future incidents. this is really bad.
    i dont think so.

in my opinion they should talk to him

having a criminal record sucks and its gonna create problems for his jobs in the future

i would talk to my kids, i dont like cops

but then again they get us to be safe sometimes
It should be a last resort...otherwise your child will get a criminal record that will be held against them later in life for making stupid choices as a teen.
No but it gets their attention. Rehab next stop.
yes and no.they could get a criminal record
depends if its the first time

The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer. It's a story about vampires, but not you typical everyday vampires. Its a romance, yet it has a little bit of action. I would

recommend it for 11 year olds + because In Eclipse (3rd book in the) and in Breaking Dawn (4th book) there is some sexual Reference (in Eclipse there is only mention about it). They are books in which you cannot put down, and you can find someone anywhere to talk about it with. Also, i have not read it yet, But Stephine Meyer also wrote another book Called the host, which is about aliens, has had many good reviews! Hope this helped!

Edward Cullen and Renesmee Carlie Cullen are my life!
My favorites (although some of them are a bit childish, I know).

What book would you recommend for teenage girls?

I want a book that has a little action and a little romance in it. But it could just be romance. I don't want a book about adults though. I don't want a book with an overused plot. The book has to be unpredictable. The main character has to be a girl. Could you recommend some books? Thank you! What book would you recommend for teenage girls?

Cal reveals that he and his mother are Wiccans (witches), and Morgan, who seems unusually sensitive to natural energies and adept at ';magick,'; becomes the focus of his attention. Could she be a blood witch, a member of one of the Seven Great Clans? This is largely an unexceptional high-school romance (first in a series) that spends inordinate amounts of time describing what the well-dressed teenage witch is wearing this season.

Raven, 16, doesn't fit in at school or home. This goth-girl is obsessed with vampires and when a new family moves into the old town mansion, she is convinced that the son, Alexander, is a vampire. The story swirls around and through sibling rivalry, peer relationships, friendships, and love. Raven is a feisty protagonist with a quick wit and a real sense of self. She defends herself and her friends, often besting her peers with humor and a quick tongue. As her connection with Alexander deepens, she comes to understand her family better. It is through his shadowy character that readers are kept off balance.

There is also a graphic novel version of this series its pretty cute as well =]What book would you recommend for teenage girls?
    Absolutely!

Anything by Holly Black is wonderful. Her faery trilogy, made up in order of ';Tithe';, ';Valiant';, and ';Ironside';, is an urban fairytale, focusing on darker, corrupt, more raw and modern ideas of magical races living secretly alongside humans. The story and characters are original, the protagonist is a teenage girl, it has romance and tons of action.

';Valiant'; has different characters than the other two books, but you need to read it if you're to understand references in ';Ironside';.

    Definitely check it out.
Evermore The Immortal series by Alyson Noel. Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, Ever can see auras, hear people's thoughts, and know a person's entire life story by touch. Going out of her way to avoid human contact and suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school鈥攂ut everything changes when she meets Damen.

Damen Auguste is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy. As Ever is drawn deeper into his enticing world of secrets and mystery, she's left with more questions than answers. She has no idea just who he really is鈥攐r what he is. The only thing she knows to be true is she's falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

    ';The Midnighter Series'; by Scott Westerfeld, it's about this girl, Jessica, that moves to Bixby, Oklahoma and finds out there is an extra hour in the day that only her and four other people in her school that actually know about. The extra hour is where everyone is frozen except for Jessica and the other four. The only problem is that there are monsters called darklings that cause problems in the hour. The first book is called ';The Secret Hour,'; second is ';Touching Darkness';, and the third is called ';Blue Noon.';

    Another good book is ';The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks'; by E. Lockhart. (I know it's a loong title...) It's about this girl, Frankie who goes to Alabaster Prep, a prestigious rich school. She is in her sophomore year and things are going great: Frankie is looking a lot better than she did last year, she has a hot senior boyfriend, and she wants to get in her boyfriend's secret club. This is the story of Frankie and how she became a ';criminal mastermind.';
The Twilight Saga! The main character is a girl, and, in my opinion, the books aren't very predictable(: The character is 17 in the first book, 18 in the second, and stays 18 throughout the other 2.

    There are four in all.

    Twilight

    New Moon

    Eclipse

    Breaking Dawn

I HIGHLY reccomend these books. They're the best I've ever read!
The Inheritance Cycle (known for the first book Eragon) is good for all ages (13+) all genders and is the best few books ever in my opinion you will grow to love the characters as well as all there story's please read this book it has Romance (for Eragons couson alot and Eragon occationaly) and is loaded with action
    *Twilight - Stephenie Meyer

    *Bloom - Elizabeth Scott

How many have been teenage moms or have had to deal with teenage moms?

My daughter (technically she is my step-daughter, but I call her my own since her mom died a little over a year ago) She is pregnant at 15. I am just wondering who has dealt with something like this and how do you support them the best you can?

I want to be able to help her when ever I can and support her but what are some other ways I can show her that I want to help her?How many have been teenage moms or have had to deal with teenage moms?
My sister got pregnant at 16. I was her legal guardian after she got pregnant, my mom basically disowned her. I was 17 at the time and legally emancipated.

The best way I supported my sister was to be there for her when she felt like there was no hope.

I paid the bills in a small apartment for us, took her to her doctor's appointments, took her to get baby stuff. I made sure to listen to her about what was going on. I found out the best way to be supportive emotionally was to just be there to listen.

I also made sure to help her do her homework and school projects, so that she didn't fall behind in school. I also made sure (I was a senior in HS at the time btw) to bring saltines and snack foods with me to school that (we shared 2 classes together, Russian and Gym) if she ever got hungry or sick...she had something to snack on.

Why not throw her a baby shower? I did that for my sister, and invited all of her friends so that she knew that this baby was a blessing.

As a side note: I said from the get-go that this WASN'T my child, and that she would ultimately be responsible for her schooling AND raising the kid.How many have been teenage moms or have had to deal with teenage moms?
I was a teenage father. My daughter was born Feb 2006 of my senior year of high school and I was 18yrs. I've been raising her on my own since April 2006 and she's now a running, talking machine at 2yrs.

The best thing you can do is support her. Go with her to doctors apps, help her set things up, buy things for the baby, give her tips on motherhood etc (if your family is going to raise it). But what is really important is support. I can't tell you how good it feels to know that someone is on your side, that someone is going to help you through this and be there for you....someone who isn't going to yell and scream about the mess you got yourself into. At this point, she always knows her situation and support from someone she loves is something she's REALLY going to need.

She's also going to need encouragement. As much as you want to help, she needs to learn that this baby isn't going to be completely someone else's responsibility. She's going to struggle in the beginning (nothing new comes easy), but needs to know she'll get the hang of it soon.

    Good Luck
I became a Mom three days before my 18th birthday. I finished High School with honors and worked a full time job. I did live with my parents, but I paid for all of my babies, daycare, diapers, clothing, food, etc..... My parents did help me out alot, they babysat if I had to work weekends or if I wanted to go out to dinner or a movie. But they wouldn't watch him just so I could go run around and do all the stuff other kids my age were doing. I think the best thing for you to do is help her and let her know you love her and want to help, but don't take over mothering the baby. She needs to be responsible and as hard as it is, it is well worth it in the end.
I was a teen mom (though was older than your stepdaughter). My best advice is to support her and love her. If she's going to parent this child, she will need a lot of guidance. Some teen moms are ready to step up and do what it takes to be a parent, others are not.

One little thing: throw her a baby shower. Let her be happy about it and for a little bit, not let the whole teenage mom thing hang over her head. That's one thing that I didn't have, as a pregnant teenager and I'm surprised that 15 years later, it still nudges at me.

    Just my thoughts.
my mom had me at 15,and she was a great mom while someone was supporting her....i got pregnant and 3months late she got evicited form her house neither her or her husband could get out of it(shes never really had a job)and i stoped letting her borrow money so that i can save up for my son....she got mad and a month after i gave birth i still wouldnt give her or her husband money and about a week ago she changed her number and still havent given it to me......so if u want to help her do it but make sure she knows that she has to support the baby not everyone else......after she has the baby and can start working make her so that she knows that she will be the one supporting her child....good luck, and hopefully she wont put her child thro what my mom put me thro
well my sister got pregnant at 15,. but there wasnt much to get mad but thee fact that she was 15. her boy friend had a nice paying job bought thee baby everything and his side of thee family was just at excited as we were theres not much to show her you are accepting thee sitution and are supporting her talk to her about go shopping for baby things and bonding. just show her your not mad :D

    And Congradulations Grandma :)
Just tell her you want to help when you can but don't take over everything . I myself got pregnant at 15 and my older sister did too. My mom took over for my sister and she ended just leaving the baby with her to raise but me she learned and i raised my child mostly with her ';help'; . I am really glad she did . That made me learn to be independent and i can say I'm way better off than my sister right now.
well im a teenage mom of a 7months baby boy, and aint easy raising a baby

Wow. I can't think of anymore at the moment, but like I said, if you need more titles, contact me.What are the good books for teenage girls?
All of these books are great:

Maximum Ride Series - James Patterson

    Book 1: The Angel Experiment

Max had avian dna grafted into her before she was born, by sadistic scientists. Now she and the five others in her adopted family have wings, and they can fly. They are on the run from the scientists who will do anything to get them back. To make things more complicated, they are also being tracked by another of the scientist's experimental breeds: part human, part wolf, with a taste for flying kids.

These books are sooo good! I read the first one in 2 days (422 pages)

The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins

In the future, in a place that used to be known as the U.S. every year, 24 teens are forced to participate in a ';reality t.v. show.'; Only the winner lives. I loved this book. It made me cry.

Uglies - Scott Westerfeld (and anything else by him)

In Tally's world, when everyone turns 16, they receive an operation that makes them beautiful. When Tally's friend decides to run away and avoid the operation, Tally is forced to follow, and on the way, learns a horrible secret about being beautiful. Great book! Scott Westerfeld is awesome!

You Don't Know Me - David Klass

Told from inside the mind of a boy whose mother's boyfriend abuses him. It's funny, but deep. A really good book.

    Unwind - Neal Shusterman

When the government outlaws terminating pregnancies, they come up with a new solution to this problem. Children between 13 and 17 can be ';unwound,'; where their body parts will be donated to those in need. This story is about three kids who are trying to fight the society that would ';unwind'; them. This was one of the first really great books that I'd read in a looong time. I would soooo recommend it.

Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher

I didn't love this, but everyone I know did. When Sarah Baker commits suicide, she makes tapes, which she sends to all of the people who affected her decision. It's told from the POV of the boy who had a crush on her, and he's wondering why he received a tape from her. What did he do that would make her want to die?

    Generation Dead - Daniel Waters

If you liked Twilight, I would recommend this one. It was a really good book, but it didn't rip off the vampire idea. It is definitely worth reading.

    Gone - Michael Grant

When everyone 15 years or older disappears, kids go crazy. Bullies rule, and no one knows what to do. Not only that, but animals are mutating, and kids are developing special powers. (I know it sounds kind of dumb, but it really isn't, it's soooo good!)

    Skinned - Robin Wasserman

Lia had a perfect life until she almost died in a car crash. Her body was destroyed, so her mind was downloaded into a new body that only looks human. She will never eat, feel pain, or age again. Society is against her, and everyone like her. It's a pretty good book. You should read it.

    Hacking Harvard - Robin Wasserman

Really funny. Three kids make a bet to see if the can cheat their way into Harvard and prove the flaw in the admission system. It was a good book.

Can't Get There From Here - Todd Strasser

I loved this one. It's about a tribe of teens living on the streets of New York.

The Year Of Secret Assignments - Moriarty

This one is laugh out loud funny. It's about a group of penpals in different schools. It's written through their letters and emails and journal entries. It's sooooo funny.

    Godless - Pete Hautman

A group of kids decide to worship a water tower. Need I say more? Funny book.

Going Nowhere Faster - Sean Beaudoin

Most hilarious (random) book I've ever read.

    The Outsiders 鈥?S.E. Hinton

This book is sooooo good! Read it!

    Tex - S.E. Hinton

If you liked The Outsiders, you'll like this one. It's not quite as good (nothing could be) but I really liked it.

    Truancy - Isamu Fukui

When school rules a child's life, along with cruel leaders and teachers, a group of kids try to fight the system. Tack thinks he know what side he's on, especially when someone he cares about is hurt in a crossfire between the two sides, but after some time, he's not sure anymore. I liked the book. My friend wouldn't read it because it was too violent for her, but I thought it was good though. (but I didn't like the ending)

  • What are some good books about teenage boys and their relationships with their fathers?

I want a good read, and I want one about a teenage boy, and his relationship -- dysfunctional or not -- with his father. It seems like all novels I pick up and read the back or inside flap of are about teenage girls and their relationships with their mothers. I'm frankly tired of seeing all of these books about teenage girls and their relationships with their mothers. I want to read a good young adult novel about a teenage boy and his relationship with his father. Do you have any good suggestions for me?What are some good books about teenage boys and their relationships with their fathers?
    * The Road by Cormac McCarthy

    * The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

    * Out Stealing Horses: A Novel by Per Petterson

    * Gilead by Marilynne Robinson

    * Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman

    * Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig

    * Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer

    * East of Eden by John Steinbeck

    * The Chosen by Chaim Potok

    * My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman

    * Fathers and Sons by Ivan Turgenev

    * The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon (that one was amazing, I really suggest it).

    * Independence Day by Richard Ford

    * Big Fish : A Novel of Mythic Proportions by Daniel Wallace (this also became a Tim Burton movie)

    * The Film Club: A Memoir by David Gilmour

    * A Fraction of the Whole by Steve Toltz

    * Stuck in Neutral by Terry Trueman

    * Beautiful Boy: A Father's Journey Through His Son's鈥?by David Sheff

    * Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn

    * Bridge of Sighs by Richard RussoWhat are some good books about teenage boys and their relationships with their fathers?
What about the Swiss Family Robinson? Written by Johann David Wyss. This involves a family who get shipwrecked. Mother, father, 2 boys.... It's a good book. There is definitely a relationship between father and sons.

You know it is hard trying to find a book about a father and son. You are right. Most books involve girls and their mothers......

    Hope this helps!
Oh interesting. I have always thought just the opposite. It seemed when I was growing up that the only stories were about boys and never about girls. Interesting that your take on it is just the opposite. I would have to say some of the ones I enjoyed the most were

A Light in the Forest - by Conrad Richter

    Shiloh-by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

The Great Santini -by Pat Conroy

    Sounder-William H. Armstrong

Where the Red Fern Grows-Wilson Rawls

    Life with Father-Clarance Day Jr.

My Brother Sam is Dead-byJames Lincoln Collier

    Across Five Aprils-Irene Hunt
Ordinary People by Judith Guest is a good one. It's about a teenage boy who is recovering from depression, and his relationship with his dad is a huge part of the novel and his steps toward recovery.
Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison
A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Burroughs. It's not a novel but it is a true story about a father/son relationship.

EVER.How do I become an undercover teenage cop?
No such thing. The police don't hire kids.

Any undercover work is done by trained, sworn, adult police officers. Even in school. I knew a 30-something cop that was able to pass for a high school kid.
you're absolutely right, it DOES look good on college applications to say you were james bond jr.

if i wasn't spiderman for 10-12th grade i just dont think i would have been accepted to UMass.
You gave all the wrong reasons for wanting to do something like that. Sorry

What are the best places to visit in Scotland when traveling with two teenage boys and a 9 year old?

We want to tour Scotland again, but this time want to be sure that the boys are somewhat entertained along the way.....hopefully this will make our travel experience more bearable! We have already seen Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Ayr and Aberdeen. Any thoughts on what would be interesting for all of us? As long as the boys have a few things to look forward to along the way, that should keep them quiet (hopefully). Thanks so much for any advice you can give. What are the best places to visit in Scotland when traveling with two teenage boys and a 9 year old?
Hi! I've given you a few sites to have a wee look at for SW Scotland! Have a great holiday! What are the best places to visit in Scotland when traveling with two teenage boys and a 9 year old?
Have you considered going up to the Highlands this time around? The views there are beautiful but there is also plenty of opportunities for outdoor and water sports for your boys so there is something for everyone. This is a summer recommendation though since I don't think hypothermia is an activity you want to indulge in!
The best place to visit in Scotland is Edinburgh whether travelling with two teenage boys %26amp; a nine year old or two dwarfs, a monkey %26amp; a giraffe

What are some good activities for teenage boys in Orlando Florida?

We live near central/east Orlando. We're new to the area and I have a 14 year old brother who would love to be involved in some activities where he can meet friends of the same interest, like video games, anime, etc.

My grandmother works at disney in Orlando. There's an anime convention fomewhere in Tampa once a year. There's also a TON of arcades around East Orlando. Central Orlando has some places like that too, but it's more expensive and most people there are tourists. It's better to look in East Orlando.

Just a sidenote: He should look at Full Sail University for after high school. It's about 40 mins away from Orlando, in Winter Park. Degrees on Game Design.

How do you feel about unwed teenage pregnancy?

If a girl got pregnant after being raped does that change how you feel? Is it the same to you as a floosy at school sleeping around and getting pregnant? How do you feel about unwed teenage pregnancy?
Rape is never the same as someone just sleeping around, and unfortunately in the US 1 in 4 women will be sexually assaulted/abused in their lifetime and typically it is someone they know love and trust.

What I think of unwed teen pregnancy is that our schools and parents are dropping the ball in properly educating our youth on sex and safe sexual practices. We can't just tell them to refrain from sex till marriage. That is like dangling forbidden fruit in front of Eve. I was 21 when I took psychology of sex in college. It was an awesome class. It went over the emotional ups and downs of sex. The statistics of how many women remain with their first sexual partner when they lose their virginity at different ages. ALL of the STD's and even a 3 day slide show of them (the thought of touching someone made me want to throw up) it even went over how you don't even have to have sex to get them, and how condoms don't always work. It even went over at what age a man can actually properly please a woman in bed and when a woman is actually open to being pleasured and not just lay there. I'm not saying that all of that is relevant, but there was so much in that class that would be okay for a teen to hear, and I wish I had known before taking the plunge and faking my way through a 2 year relationship because I didn't want to break up with my first which is a very common thing and is often how women get into abusive relationships.

They need to bring in local teen mom groups and have them talk to kids about how hard it is being a mom at 17 and tell them that nope they are no longer with the father because he ditched her after she got pregnant which is the case in over 80% of teen pregnancy cases.

We also for some reason keep it from guys about how many women are sexually abused in their life and what the results of all that abuse has done to women. There is also no negative surrounding a teen boys that gets a girl pregnant, he gets to drop the ball and run. It is almost as if we keep pinning it on the women like it is their fault and its okay for a man to be sexual and dominate. Until we get people properly educated and drop double standards the cycle continues. How do you feel about unwed teenage pregnancy?
I have a lot of close friends who have had children in their teens and it never really changed my view of the person as a whole. I do think that you should try to avoid teenage pregnancy, not meaning you get pregnant and you have an abortion, but avoiding in general.

As for rape, I think of it differently then I would of the person was just being irresponsibly. I'd actually think well of them if they were to keep the baby because when you're raped most people don't wanna have to deal with the fact that they had a child by a person who raped them.

    And no...it's not.
l don't judge. l don't know the story behind the Teenagers pregnancy. She could of been raped, drugged and then been forced to have sex unprotected, or anything across those lines. l am judgemental on here because it annoys me when Teenage people say things like 'We didn't use protection because we feel like we didn't need to' or.. something like 'We prefer it unprotected because it feels better'. That's no excuse.

l had a pregnancy scare [even though l was protected] and l don't feel that l should judge anyone. Rape is a completely different story. lt is not the girls fault, and it's her choice on whether she wants to keep the baby or not.

    (:
Well. I have a sixteen month old baby named Tanner. I was fourteen when I had him. I don't encourage younger people to have babies, because you have to be mature and give up a lot. It's a lot of work. I regret it, but I love my baby. I don't recommend it at all. But bottom line, I am not against it. I'm against the people that put teenage mothers down. I am against that because they don't know what we go through. They are just judging what they see. And it's wrong.
    Well I don't judge people so i wouldn't think she's a s l u t because i don't know , because well she could've been raped , but if i knew she was sleeping around because she's a close friend but if i don't know her i wouldn't be quick to judge.
I think it is none of any ones business to judge someone. Stuff happens and thats how it will always be. No if you get raped then it is not the same. Nobody has the right to judge some one else just for making stupid mistakes everyone makes mistakes, some people just make different ones.
If its no fault of the woman's, then I have no negative opinion of it at all. In regards to rape, it most likely 100% was not her fault. How can anyone blame her for that?

In regards to a teenage girl just foolishly having unprotected sex, yes, I have negative opinions of that.
Yes, there is a difference because the girl that raped did not have sex under her own will.

Obviously I don't feel too bad about teen pregnancy because I am 17 years old and 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby.
Well rape is completely a different story. Also I don't look down on someone because they are unwed. I wasn't married when I had my daughter. Now almost 3 years later im married to her father.
It is better then making them get married.

Most teens get pregnant because their parents are idiots and won't help them get a vibrator or on birth control.
Poor start in life for both kids ( mom and the baby ) , rape or no rape.
i dont approve of it, but if it was a case of rape its a different story i think

  • How do you cheer up a teenage girl?

My 15-year-old, Delilah, has recently been ';dumped'; by her boyfriend and I have good reason to believe that the break-up was not mutual. She has been crying around the clock and I must do something to lift her spirits. However, I am not sure how to do this without appearing ';uncool'; or making her cry harder. Have you got any suggestions on how to cheer her up?How do you cheer up a teenage girl?
Hey there! I am 23 now, but my first love and first break up happened when I was a teenager. I was so deeply depressed over it, and my Dad was the only one to really help me. In a way he saved my life. First off, he convinced me to stay active, to keep doing things. That helped. Let her know she is beautiful. One day I came home and my Dad had bought a large teddy bear for me. It was just sitting on my bed. I still have it. The only stuffed animal I have. Of course with teenagers everything is a lot more hard for them and the world evolves around them so you will not be able to take away all that pain, but yet again she is only 15, she will have a boyfriend soon enough and forget about the other one. Could she have some girlfriends over? What does she truly like? Maybe find a way to show interest with her interests (like buying her a t-shirt with her favorite band or something). More than anything though she just needs you to be there, and to be understanding, and to know she will probably be an emotional teenage wreck for awhile. How do you cheer up a teenage girl?
    What does she like?

Go out for something to eat? or go get a film you'd both like to see together (nothing to girly, there may be cry scenes)

Do something you can do together, and help take her mind off things. If I were you I wouldnt try to get her to talk about it, if you want to just bring it up vaguely as it may upset her more.

Just let her know your her dad, and you love her no matter what, and no guy could ever compete with that.
Offer her a shoulder to cry on. Just say that you've noticed that she been sad and offer a hug. She may deny it at first but I'll bet eventually it will all come spilling out. When it does don't try to make sense out of it or solve things. just let her talk as much or little as she wants. And let her know she can talk to you anytime she wants to. It won't solve things but it will make her feel better.
Ha ha if I were to be dumped by a guy I wuld so happy if my parents let me get my lip pierced.

But if she int want one n u don't allow it u could

    1. Find her a new bf

2buy her something she really wants

    .3 kill the boy lol

.4take her somewhere she wants to go

    5. Take her shopping :) girls bff lol
Well first of all she is lucky to have such a caring parent. I would listen when vents, but don't push her to talk to you. Offer a hug and a pep talk.
well bob take her to a movie are something anything to take her mind off of what has happened. im sure you can get her out of the house and find something todo.
Bring her something she wants to have or invite some of her friends over for a sleepover or something.

I'm 15 by the way so I know best :)

    Hope this work.
    hmm give her some chocolate?

go see a funny movie (:

make up stupid jokes that are funny.

just do something to take her mind of the guy
    Try something simple like';hey you want to go for a walk?';

    or,';how bout some ice cream?';

    Say something like,';hon I love you! and that boy is missing out on you. Your boyfriends might not always love you, but i will always.';

Tell her she is a beautiful young woman. She could be feeling she is not pretty enough and that is why she thinks there was a breakup. simple things like that.

But most of the time people just need a shoulder to cry on.

I am sure it is hard for her, but you will do the right thing!

    Good Luck!

    God Bless

How much on average do teenage girls grow from the age of 15?

I am 5 foot 8 and 14 years old, 15 in one month, my mum is 5 foot 4, and my dad is 6 foot, Is there a big or small possibility i will be at least an inch taller than I am already? How much on average do teenage girls grow from the age of 15?
Growth depends on a lot of things. Not to get too personal, but once you start your period, you will continue to grow for about 2 more years. Therefore, if you started at 12, probably you won't grow much more. I would say that if your mom is 5'4';, you are doing great! How much on average do teenage girls grow from the age of 15?
you will stop growing when you reach 19 but somtimes if the hormons are unbalanced you could grow more,,
I think you will stop growing soon...
more than possible. u could keep growing any time between now and when ur about 20

What are your opinions of teenage relationships?

This question is aimed at adults. What are your opinions of teenage relationships? I've heard teenagers say its not normal for 18 year olds not to be in a relationship. I've heard people say don't bother with a teenage relationship because they don't work.

So adults, do you think teenagers should find romance? Or do you think they should wait? The age of teenagers I'm referring to is 18 years old. What are your opinions of teenage relationships?
i don't see why they couldn't have a relationship some lasting relationships start at a young age if not it could be a learning and growing up situationWhat are your opinions of teenage relationships?
It depends on the people. Some people can make them work, some people can't. Either way, I think they help you grow emotionally and learn more about yourself.

I've been dating the same woman since I was seventeen, which was about ten years ago. If I hadn't dated as a teenager, I wouldn't have her.
depends on the people if they truely love each other well then good for them they should be together, but as for the 13year olds who say ';omg im so inlove with him/her';thats a other story..My mum and dad have been together since their were 16, been married 17 years.
i believe that two people who really love each other should be together when ever they figure out that they are meant for each other. i believe that most is fake love and you can only really fall in love once.
I see nothing wrong with teenage relationships just as long as they know how to use the head properly and do IT if you know what I mean once they're over 18 years old.
My daughter got married at 16, and they are still together after 21 years- lol
What do you mean teen love doesnt work? it feels good and stuff, dont care if it doesnt last
i feel though that it does sometimes work out

What is normal for a teenage boy ?

I am concerned about my 13 year old son who is having trouble settling at night (signs of depression begin after the sun goes down - regardless of the day he has had). He is tearful and worried and has issues about growing older and about death generally. I know growing up is hard and as a single mother I am concerned that this is due to a negative relationship with his estranged father. I have taken him to a naturopath for a consultation but the herbal remedies do not seem to be working. Is this ';normal'; / to be expected for my boy ?What is normal for a teenage boy ?
I have to say that 13 is the worst age for a boy from what I have seen.... I worked with adolescent males and found that 13 year olds were the most difficult and troublesome but also the ones with the most difficulties and troubles... They are not little boys... they are not adult men... they are only at the very beginning of adolescence and nothing quite goes right for them...

To be preoccupied with death and aging may be because he thinks he is going to die... perhaps he thinks he has an illness... do investigate that line of thought...

If you are a single mother and he has no strong male role models in his life then he does not have anyone to base himself on... no one to campare himself to.. no one to ask the silly questions that 13 year old boys need to ask...

I would look for a compassionate male family doctor... tell him what is going on and what you think and feel then ask him to check him out physically and to have a word with your son... take your son in for reasonably regular appointments with the same doctor... just so your son gets to know the doctor a bit and the doctor gets a better idea of your son and his concerns, thoughts, feelings, and physical health.. Do not stay in the room with your son and the doctor.... allow them to be together and your son to speak freely without fear of you knowing every word he says... IF something major is wrong the doctor will know how to get your sons permission to tell you about it....

You could get your son into a mainly male sport, or other recreational activity...that involves interaction with males of his age as well as grown up men....

I know my son at 12 decided that he was going to have a relationship with his estranged father.... he decided that whether his dad wanted it or not he was going to make his father face him and tell him personally whether he wanted his son or not...

That was a most trying experience for me... I knew by my son's determination that he was not going to take no for an answer and so I regularly drove my son to his fathers house... (My son found his dad via the internet) and my son banged on the door, screamed... yelled, threw rocks at the house... climbed on the roof and danced.... he continued doing so and he rang his father regularly and left messges on his machine... and told his dad I am going to keep coming to your house and being a nuiscance until you see me..... I will keep doing this and will not stop.... I have a right to meet you and you will meet me or have me arrested... I dont care which you do but one way or another you will give me an answer... cause if you have me charged then you have to face me in court and I will ask you in the court room....

He was a very determined young man... he thought this over and over and often he would come away from his dad's house totally worn down and exhausted and fall in a heap and cry his eyes out... I asked him to please think about stopping.. he refused he was determined to see his father...

Eventually I received a phone call from his father asking if I was in agreement to allow my son to conintue doing this and I said I had no choice because if I did not drive him there he would simply get there another way.... He asked if all of the children wanted to see him and I said they did.... he hummd an haed for a while then asked if I could drop them off at his house on the following saturday and pick them up an hour later....I agreed...

Now several years later my son lives with his father... he is happy and fulfilled and you would never believe how much alike they are...

My conclusion.... boys need their dads.... not someone elses... not a step dad.... they need their own dad..

Other men may help... but honestly to know your own father and have some kind of relationship with him is irreplaceable....

You probably did not want to hear that... you probably dont want to know that you are not everything to your son.... but it is the absolute truth as I know it....

depression is often a normal natural human respose to sad situations.... if he is missing his dad he will be experienceing grief... grief is a normal human state.... it is not an illness.... this grief will continue until it is resolved one way or another...

depression caused by chemical imbalance is not nearly as common as a lot of people would have you think... it is not as likely to be this... if your son is sad... then there is a reason he is sad... if it is about not having his dad... then the only solution is for him to resolve that situation..

If his father is one of the few terribly evil people on the planet... or is dead... or there is a genuine reason that it would be bad for your son to meet his father.... then you need to be very honest and upfront with your son.... if by some chance you dont know who his father is... for sure... then you need to tell him that... Dont lie about it dont make up stories... just be very honest.. and straight forward....

Your son needs answers to question that he doesnt even know how to ask.....What is normal for a teenage boy ?
Children can oftentimes pick up on the worries and fears of those in their environment. Consequently, the more their primary caregivers are worried, the more they feel they have to worry in order to help make it through.

Try sitting beside him at night and talking about why he feels the way he feels. Sometimes someone friendly and caring appearing during the period we are most fearful, and their willingness to listen, gives us enough positive reinforcement to quell our feelings. Maybe even set up a schedule, so that he has something to look forward to each week. The more he associates those times with comfort and company, the weaker those associations will become.

A worry about death can also be a vague worry about the uncertainty of what the future may brings. The more that those fears are acknowledged, and talked through, the less uncertain the future can seem.
i dnt thnk it is normal..maybe he is sick. n he's hiding it from u probably..maybe its due to the relationship with d father. i thnk u shud work on that n hopefully ur son wil get some motivation n support from his father
someone may have told something that worries him, something distressful about nightfall. or it might be an unpleasant or sad memory. herbal remedies and medicines prescribed by psychiatrists are just going to cause even more stress. what he needs is more personal space and privacy, good friends who he thinks are nice and fun to be with, and a bit of more cheer and laughter at home.
You didnt say how long this had been going on, but it could be hormones amplifying feelings he may have. I am sure he is also learning more and more about himself, his self concept is emerging, and he is realizing that life ends at some point. Not so sure that younger children realize this. Is he having nightmares? Night soon brings bedtime and he may be fearfully anticipating bedtime.

I wouldnt worry too much about it. As with many teenagers, stages come and go. Just love and support and ride it out..Best!
You should make an appointment for him to first have a physical exam with his doctor to make sure there are no health issues, then have the doctor refer him to your local community mental health clinic. His behavior is not normal. Herbs are not the answer.
Intermittently this could be somewhat normal. But if it has been going on for any amount of time I would think therapy is in order. And it may be something you should share in as well. Separation of any kind can be hard for us as parents to manage but pales in comparison to what the children go through. They can feel responsible for it among a hundred other problems. It is not a short coming on your part to seek help with this and in fact may be the best thing you can do for him and you. Good luck and Be well.
It probably isn't. I thought about those things too when i was his age, and then in my twenties fell into a serious depression that lasted much longer than i should have let it.

On the bright side, And no i'm not bragging about myself when i say this, I think your son is extremely bright, and imaginative. If he's drawn to such deep thoughts it's because in his mind the deeper thoughts are the only ones worth exploring, and thus solving.

The thing is he can only scratch the surface of these things at his age, so it's best for him to stick to the things he can figure out, he'll be happier with those little victories.

A therapist might say he's in the beginning stages of paranoia and prescribe a mild dose of a popular schizophrenia medication. Don't freak out, his mind will definitely stay closer to the surface of things and he'll feel more like his old self. do a little research to find out which new ones have the least side effects so that you'll have an idea what the mental health professional is offering you.

    EDIT:

As I reread your question I have to agree that maybe a few well timed talks could help. Or maybe even have a male member of the family spend more quality time with him. Of course it must be someone he idolizes or at least likes well.

    Maybe drugs aren't the answer.

Maybe there's just stuff he needs explained to him by a guy.

    Tough.

But at least he's got you paying him the attention he deserves.

It'll work out, i'm sure of it.
Your son is growing up, and this sounds normal for him, especially with his negative relationship with his father. The behaviour you're describing sounds quite normal for someone who is going through puberty.
Thinking about death growing old and dying is definitely not normal for a 13 year old boy. Certainly not being tearful or worried about it.

I'd ditch the herbal remedies and have him checked out by a psychiatrist.
